This is the town that has been the fortified seat of kings, that has given birth to the Eisteddfod, and that helped set sail to the dreams of many to a new land called America.

There will be music, crafts, river activities, food stalls from artisan producers, fish, beers, cheeses, breads, workshops, performers and a whole wealth of sights, sounds, tastes and experiences to delight and entertain. All this against the backdrop of the Historic port and the majestic River Teifi flowing down to the open sea.

The festival is held in and around the quayside on the river opposite the castle in the old port area of the town.

The St Dogmaels local producers market was established in 2009, in response to the growing need for fresh local produce from ethical sources. It was initially founded by Hanes Llandoch using funding from the Rural Development Project RDP, enabling the purchase of high quality market stall units and also assisting local producers to test trade new brands and marketing. The pilot study was a success both with stall holders and their new customers and the decision was taken to make it a feature of the St Dogmaels calendar. It quickly grew, necessitating further investment in additional stalls, to our current 18 + stalls.
