The Welsh Government has provided details for opening up tourism and from the 13th July Douglas & Birch hut and Cedar & Birch Hut will be open. We are still awaiting confirmation on when the B&B can open safely, we hope that this will be at the beginning of August.
We are in the process of organising our reopening of both the self catering and serviced accommodation and whilst we have always prided ourselves on having a wonderful cleaning team there will be extra measures implemented to ensure the safety of you our guests, our staff and our community.
Below is a list of some of the measures we are putting in place. We will update this as the industry guidelines are updated and we can’t wait for the normal buzz and flow of guests can resume. There is nothing quite like a full dining room on a sunny summers evening..
IN THE HOUSE
Right now, we cannot open the main house in the same way we did before. However, we are able to open on a ‘Room only’ basis with private dining facilities in your room, and a gorgeous continental hamper breakfast delivered to your door each morning.
- Reducing capacity in the house to enable implementation of new procedures around social distancing.
- If in the unfortunate event, you or your household experience COVID-19 symptoms such as a high temperature, a new continuous cough or a change to your sense of taste and smell, we must ask that you follow the Government advice, remain at home, and contact us to allow your stay to be rescheduled.
- Absence of symptoms of the Coronavirus are a condition of your visit.
- We politely ask that any guests who are required to undertake self-isolation, household isolation or overseas travel related isolation remain at home in line with the Government advice, and contact us to rearrange their stay.
- We will ask that all guests observe the social distancing requirements at all times and you will notice some reminders to do so, placed around the house.
- Exclusive use social bubble available, take over the whole house with your own social bubbles – contact us to see how we can arrange this.
- Each guest room will have their own bottle of hand sanitizer which meets WHO guidelines.
- Thorough daily room cleaning and extended cleaning upon check out .
- You can tell us if you prefer that our housekeepers don’t enter your room at all during your stay, just let us know when you arrive. We’ll be happy to provide clean towels and amenities to your door as you wish.
- All keys will be thoroughly sanitized between guests.
- All areas of the house including high touch area’s will be cleaned and santized.
- All pillow protectors and mattress protectors are washed and changed between bookings.
- There will be a checklist in each room of what has been cleaned & sanitised.
- All our cleaning products will be in line with industry standards of Covid 19 guidelines – for a full product list please contact us.
- All of our linen & towels will be washed by a professional laundry service to ensure full sanitisation and cleanliness.
- Mattresses will be steam cleaned between bookings.
- We ask that guests do not arrive early and check out on time in order to give us the maximum amount of time to thoroughly deep clean.
- Where tea and coffee facilities are present, these will of course be properly cleaned and disinfected between arrivals.
- Staff will wear the recommended PPE in the form of visors or masks etc in situations where they can not maintain recommended social distancing.
- There will be a 24 hour gap between occupancy of rooms where possible.
- Additional hand sanitisers and cleaning materials provided around the house.
- Increased cleaning of communal facilities (dining room, lounge and bar)
- Time slots for breakfast and dinner may be extended
- Contactless payments/payments by BACS where required

We’ve put together a FAQ below:
I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE A BOOKING:
We are taking bookings as normal for later in the summer (currently August onward) and also for the whole of 2021. You can check availability on our website.
I HAVE A BOOKING COMING UP:
If your booking was before the beginning of August 2020, we will be in contact to see if you would like to move your booking to a later date in 2020 or into 2021.
If your booking was from beginning of August onward, we will be keeping these in place for now, with the hope that things may be getting back to normal by then. When the Welsh Government re-assess the current situation again, we will be in touch.
In the mean-time we are at the end of the phone or email if you have any questions.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE IS SECOND WAVE AND I NEED TO CANCEL?:
This is something none of us want to see happen, but if it does and you are unable to come for your holiday because we are required to close again due to Covid 19, we will issue you with a refund or we will move your booking to an alternative date.
PLEASE NOTE, ALL NEW BOOKINGS MADE DIRECT WITH US (via this website, email or phone) ARE FULLY FLEXIBLE AND IF YOU NEED TO CHANGE YOUR PLANS DUE TO COVID-19, WE ARE HAPPY TO MOVE YOUR BOOKING TO LATER THIS YEAR OR ANY TIME NEXT YEAR.
